Texas Christian marks verbal engagements of Jordan Edwards, Rylee Moore


NEW COMMITMENTS: Texas Christian University has received another set of verbal pledges for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Cumming, Ga. Jordan edwards and Rylee moore of Baton Rouge, La.

The two talented swimmers will join Jeanne Dahmen and Olivia rhodes as members of the Horned Frog Class of 2025.

Regarding her engagement, she said:

“I am very happy to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Texas Christian University !!! I am so grateful for all of my teammates and coaches who helped me through the process and I know it was the right decision for me. Thanks to the coaches and the TCU team for helping me feel at home and welcome. TCU is an amazing school and I can’t wait to make memories there! I am so excited for this opportunity and #GoFrogs !!! “

Edwards trains year round with the Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club and was a finalist in the 400 IM at Georgia Seniors in December where she also placed fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 200 butterfly. Last summer, she finished fifth in the 200m fly and sixth in the 400m IM at Georgia LCM Seniors.

His best moments include:

  • 200 tits – 2: 23.02
  • 100 breasts – 1: 05.80
  • 1000 free – 10: 25.52

  • 100 free – 54.27

Also competing for South Forsyth High School, Edwards is a six-time Georgia 7A State Championship finalist. She was sixth in the 100 fly and seventh in the 100 breaststroke in her junior campaign while finishing fifth in both events in her second year.

Regarding her engagement, she said:

“I am very happy to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at TCU! I can’t wait to be a part of such a great program and team! Super grateful to my parents, family, coaches, friends and teachers for all the help they have given over the years !! “Come on frogs !! ??”

Moore swims his club with Crawfish Aquatics and won the 100 backstroke, placed second in the 200 fly and was third in both the 100 fly and 200 IM at Louisiana Seniors in February. She competed in five events at Juniors West in December and won four gold medals at LCM Seniors in Louisiana last summer.

His best moments include:

  • 100 back – 54.41
  • 200 backstroke – 1: 59.11
  • 100 flies – 55.87
  • 200 flies – 2: 03.85
  • 200 MI – 2: 05.05

A current graduate of Parkview Baptist High School, Moore is already a six-time Louisiana State DIII gold medalist. The NISCA and the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 100 backstroke and 200 IM as a junior while also winning gold in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke in his first and second year seasons.
